New Kiss Trading Cards Released In August

August 12th will be the release date of the new Kiss trading cards. This time they will be called Kiss 360. Each box will include 24 packs of five cards with a suggested retail price of $1.99. There will be a 90-card base set, including the following: nine Unmasked cards, nine The Demon Speaks cards, nine 2009 cards, 18 Behind the Curtain cards, 12 Road Stories cards, nine Behind Starry Eyes cards, six Welcome to the Show cards and 18 Album cards. David Coverdale Mentions Lunch With Paul Stanley

Norway's national radio NRK has conducted an interview with Whitesnake's David Coverdale. In this interview Coverdale mentions that he recently had lunch with Paul Stanley. Coverdale said the following:

I was having lunch the other day with Paul Stanley from Kiss, and both of us agreed that this is an incredibly special time to be a classic rock musician. And neither of us would be thrilled at the idea of being a young band, trying to start out now in these unusual times. We’re all very grateful that we still have this opportunity to perform to enthusiastic crowds.

Kissteria TV Special To Be Shown In The Fall

Sometimes during the fall, A&E will air the one hour Kiss special "Kissteria". This TV show is made by the Greif Company who also does Gene Simmons' Family Jewels. The TV special is said to focus on the Australian tour last year.

New Album Will Be Called "360"?

As you all know, the new Kiss album will be released in September. There are a lot of rumours regarding the title of the album. One of the most common rumours seems to be that the title will be "360". This is definately not confirmed but it might be true.

Kiss Artwork On Exhibition

Ajax Garcia is the man behind the Kiss Icons designs. Tomorrow (May 21st) he will hold an exhibition with his work, including the original sketches from the Kiss Reunion Tour in 1996.

This takes place at Senior Fish in Los Angeles.

Paul Says The New Kiss Album Is Two Weeks From Being Finished

Last Friday (May 15th) Paul Stanley was interviewed by NBC 10 in Philadelphia. During the interview he says that the album is about two weeks from being completed. The released is scheduled to September and Paul promises the release to be followed by a tour. See the entire interview here.

According to the latest issue of Us Weekly, Kiss will perform at American Idol next Wednesday (May 20th). No official announcement regarding this has been made yet.

Kiss Will Play In California In July!

The first US date of 2009 has just been confirmed! Tuesday July 28th Kiss will perform at the California Mid-State Fair. Tickets will be released next Thursday (May 21st). More details can be found at www.midstatefair.com.

Saturday (May 16th) is the opening night of the Rock Stars' Cars & Guitars exhibit at Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. In this exhibition more than 20 cars, more than 50 guitars and loads of other rock memorabilia will be shown. What is interesting for us Kiss fans is the fact that some Kiss items are on display:

Heaven's On Fire To Be Performed In Church Tomorrow

As mentioned here two months ago, a local church in the Swedish small town Karlskoga will arrange a choir mass May 14th where some hard rock songs will be performed. One of these songs is "Heaven's On Fire" (the other songs are by Queen, Hammerfall and the Swedish Christian hard rock band Jerusalem). The local newspaper Karlskoga-Kuriren now reports from the rehearsals that some 30 persons are well prepared for tomorrow's performance. Gene Is Generous At Rally For Kids Charity

The New York Daily News reports that Gene Simmons spent $ 20,000 on a pair of 18 karat gold sunglasses at last week's Rally For Kids charity auction.
