The Red Japanese Kiss - The Originals Box Set On Ebay

1999 saw the release of the vinyl LP box set "Originals" in Japan. A very low amount were made as a red box instead of the black box. One of these rare boxes is now available on Ebay. The box contains the first 9 albums in colored vinyl. booklet, stickers, poster etc. Definately a really nice item! Check the auction out here:

Another Kiss Sighting In Swedish TV

During yesterday's (January 28th) episode of the reality show "Made In Sweden" (shown on the national Swedish channel 4) a visit was made to song writer Andreas Carlsson's Los Angeles home. Andreas then showed the Paul Stanley painting "Green Planet" as well as framed photos with and Kiss in make-up and a photo of him together with Paul, Erin and Desmond Child.
Andreas Carlsson co-wrote four of the songs for Paul Stanley's "Live To Win" album.

New Kiss Book Released In February

During February a new 112 page Kiss will be released. The title is "I Wanna Rock And Roll All Night" (not spelled "Nite"). The publisher's description looks like this:

1974 Backstage Passes On Ebay - Real Or Fake?

I found on Ebay a set of backstage passes from 1974. What's weird is that they are pinbacked and look more like pins than passes. I'm not sure if these are real or fake, they definately look a bit weird. But the seller seems to be a serious company so I'm not really sure. I've never seen anything like this before. Gene Simmons Does Dr. Pepper Commercial

Gene Simmons has recently done a shooting of a commercial for Dr. Pepper. This is a part of Dr. Pepper's "Trust me, I'm a doctor" campaign . Gene would then be Dr. Love, of course. Gene's son Nick is also said to be included in the commercial.
Dr. Pepper has previously used other fictional doctors such as Kelsey Grammer (Dr. Frasier Crane) and Julius Erving (Dr. J).

Gene Simmons Moneybag Launch Party

Tomorrow (January 28th) Gene Simmons will host a launch party for his new clothing line "Moneybag". This will take place at The Hard Rock Hotel And Casino in Las Vegas.

Kiss Shows In Brazil April 2009 Confirmed

It is now confirmed that Kiss will play the following shows in Brazil:

April 7th: Sao Paulo, Arena Anhembi
April 8th: Rio De Janeiro, Praca De Apoteose

Tickets will be released February 11th.

As mentioned before, Kiss will headline the Quilmes Rock Festival in Argentina April 5th.

Court Dismisses Lawsuit Against Family Jewels

Metropolitan News reports that The District's Court Of Appeal on January 20th dismissed a lawsuit against Gene Simmons' Family Jewels. The lawsuit was made by a man who was filmed in New Orleans while speaking to Gene. The man was aware of the fact that he was being filmed and he even wore a microphone. Heaven's On Fire Performed At Swedish Clash Of The Choirs

In the Swedish version of Clash Of The Choirs (”Körslaget”) Swedish superstar Robert Wells this Saturday (January 17th) performed ”Heaven’s On Fire”. The clip can be watched here: http://www.tv4.se/1.283438?videoId=1.805507.

Last summer, Robert Wells performed a Kiss medley at his huge summer show ”Rhapsody In Rock”.

This is the third time in just a couple of months that Kiss songs are played in big mainstream shows in Swedish national TV. Kiss Pachinko Game Available In Japan

Those of you who have been to Japan know that there are Pachinko game halls everywhere. Pachinko is a game that almost everyone in Japan plays and as a Westerner it's difficult to understand what's so special about it. But now it gets interesting! Kiss To Play Halifax, Canada In The Summer

According to the Canadian version of the Metro newspaper, Kiss will play in Halifax, Canada in the summer. Gene Simmons is quoted saying "We’ll do a handful of shows to keep in the game (next) summer, maybe 10 (dates), some Canadian shows”. An internet rumour claims that the show day will be June 24th. Kiss On National Swedish TV

Kiss were played and mentioned several times earlier today (January 8th) on national Swedish television during the 30 minute special regarding Swedish rock band The Hellacopters called ”Dom Kallar Oss Artister”.
As mentioned in several interviews over the years, Kiss has always been the favorite band for Hellacopters mainman Nicke Andersson.
In this TV special he talks about his all-time favorite album Rock And Roll Over. Nicke had decided to be a Kiss fan even before he heard the music! He had some collectors cards and loved how they looked. He asked his mom how they sound and he was told that they sound like Dr. Hook which she liked. Eventually Nicke got hold of a copy of Rock And Roll Over. This was the first album he ever owned. He didn’t really understand how it worked with A sides and B sides so he put on the B side first. That means that Love 'Em Leave 'Em was Nicke’s first Kiss song ever and he was hooked right away. ”This didn’t sound anything like Dr. Hook!” Nicke says in the interview. Nicke also says that the cover artwork for Rock And Roll Over is the best artwork ever made.
