Kiss Confirmed For Paul McCartney Tribute

As mentioned here yesterday, Kiss has recorded the Wings song "Venus And Mars" for an upcoming Paul McCartney tribute CD. Today Kissonline has mentioned this as well so this is now confirmed and official.

New Kiss Compilation CD Soon To Be Released

August 31st sees the release of the new Kiss compilation CD "Kiss Icon". This is a double disc and this is not to be confused with the 4-CD set "Kiss Icons" that was released in 2008. The new compilation can be pre-ordered here.

Bruce Kulick To Australia

Bruce Kulick reveals on his webpage that he will go to Australia to take part in the AIMS show in Melbourne October 2nd and 3rd. He will also hold a guitar clinic at Allans Music in Sydney October 4th.

Kiss To Record Paul McCartney Cover?

There is a rumor about Kiss recording the Wings song “Venus and Mars” for an upcoming Paul McCartney tribute album. This rumor got extra strength after The Weekender mentioned this. Here is a quote from the interview that was published today (August 11th):

“We don’t talk about acid rain or who’s going to save the whales or what political party you should vote for — we don’t care about that. Most people yawn when they start to hear that,” bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons told the Weekender from Los Angeles where the band was recording “Venus and Mars” for an upcoming Paul McCartney tribute album.
