Support Acts In Norway Confirmed

At the Kiss show in Trondheim (June 8th) Wolfmother will be the support act. At the show in Oslo (June 14th) the local band Wig Wam will support Kiss.

It's now just a few days left until Ace Frehley's tour of Australia. The dates are the following:

Nick Simmons To Join Bruce Kulick On Stage

It has bee speculated here before that Nick Simmons would join Bruce Kulick on his show in Los Angeles February 1st. This has now been confirmed at Bruce Kulick's own webpage. Bruce writes the following:

Nick Simmons will be performing "Hand Of The King" with me and my band. The band will include Brent Fitz on drums, Todd Kerns on guitar and vocals, and Adam Kury on bass and vocals.

Lawsuit To Stop Vintage Kiss Photos Book

Rumor has it that Nick Simmons will join Bruce Kulick on stage during the show taking place February 1st at The Cat Club in Los Angeles (read more about the show here.) Bruce has now added the following comment on his Facebook:

Kiss On European Promo Tour?

It seems like Kiss will come to Europe for some promotional activities in February. They will perform at the popular German TV show Wetten Dass at February 27th. This was announced at the show this Saturday, watch the clip here:

February 1st Bruce Kulick will do a show at The Cat Club in West Hollywood to celebrate the released of "BK3". This is advertisted as "Bruce Kulick And Friends". It will be interesting to see who will join him on stage...

Ace Frehley 1974 Guitar Pick On Ebay

An Ace Frehley guitar pick from 1974 is now available on Ebay. It is said to be in mint condition. I am not an expert on guitar picks so I can’t say anything about the authenticity. But it looks real and the seller seems serious. Check the auction out here.

Mustasch Vocalist In Paul Stanley Make-Up

The Swedish hard rock band Mustasch (who will support Kiss at the shows in Malmö and Stockholm this summer) performed yesterday (January 19th) at the annual awards show P3 Guld. The band's vocalist wore a Paul Stanley-inspired make-up. The Expressen newspaper has published this photo from the event.

Gene Simmons Doing Voice Overs In Wolfman Movie

As Kiss On Fire could reveal already in August 2009, Gene Simmons did voice-overs for the film "The Wolfman" starring Benicio Del Toro. This movie will be released February 12th. Benicio del Toro now mentions Gene Simmons' participation in a new interview with The Coventry Telegraph.

"We tried Gene Simmons and one of Gene Simmons' howls is in the movie. I don't think Gene Simmons would recognise it, but it's in there. We had David Lee Roth come in and do a few howls.

"It was great. These guys, they're not only singers - they're comedians. Hilarious sessions. You can imagine Gene Simmons and David Lee Roth in there howling with the picture on the screen. And they would do it, crack a few jokes, and try it again."

Gene, Tommy And Eric At NAMM 2010

As mentioned here before, Gene Simmons is attending the NAMM music trade fair in California this week. It is now also confirmed that Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer will attend the fair.
All three of them will do autograph sessions on Saturday (January 17th). Gene will sign autographs at CORT USA/Westheimer booth at 12 noon. Tommy will be at the Hughes & Kettner booth at 2 PM. At the same time (2 PM) Eric will sign at the Zildjian Cymbals booth.

Gene Simmons At Spirit Of Life Charity Event

Yesterday (January 13th) the award event "Spirit Of Life" took place at the Grand Ballroom at The Ritz Carlton and J.W. Marriott Hotels in Los Angeles. Kiss Forever Spain reports that another Kiss show in Spain has been added. The new date is June 24th and the show will take place at Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona.

Bruce Kulick's New Single Available As Download

The first single from Bruce Kulick's upcoming album "BK3" will be "Hand Of The King". This is now available as download at Amazon.
"Hand Of The King" features Nick Simmons on vocals. A short preview of the song can be heard here. The album will be released January 29th.

Live To Win - Andreas Carlsson's Autobiography

The Swedish song writer Andreas Carlsson has written hits for artists like Britney Spears, ’N Sync and Backstreet Boys. But for us Kiss fans he is more known as the song writer behind half of the songs of Paul Stanley’s ”Live To Win” album. Andreas has also been writing with Gene Simmons although nothing of this has been released yet.
Although just 36 years old, Andreas has now released his autobiography, titled ”Live To Win”. It’s so far only released in Swedish but for those of you who can read any of the Scandinavian languages or are interested anyway I can say that it’s a very interesting book with a lot of cool stories. Especially the stories about how he met Gene Simmons are very entertaining. The book can be purchased here.
