City Council Would Be "Sick At Heart"

The small town of Sault Ste Marie is at the moment and third place in the fan contest regarding which cities Kiss should play in during their upcoming tour. However, J. Susan Mayer from the City Council says the following: "I would be sick at heart to see this kind of performance come to our city. Kiss Music In Swedish Kids Musical

The Swedish newspaper Kuriren reports that a kids musical featuring the music from Kiss (and other artists) will have its opening night in the small town of Boden in Northern Sweden. Ace Frehley At Boston Benefit Show

As you know, Ace Frehley performed last Sunday in Boston at a benefit show in order to raise money for the alcohol treatment organization Right Turn. Ace performed New York Groove, Shock Me and Cold Gin. Alice Cooper headlined the event and during encore Alice and Ace did Rock'N'Roll All Night together.

Gene, Tommy And Eric Will Jam In San Diego In July

Gene Simmons has made an update on his webpage. He mentions that his son Nick Simmons has made a graphic novel that will be published by no one else than Barry Levine. He is the photographer who took the classic Empire State Building photo and the Spirit Of '76 shot with the flag. Barry Levine now is the head of Radical Comics. To celebrate this graphic novel a party will be held during Comicon (San Diego July 23rd- 25th). Another show is now added to the Kiss Canadian Tour. July 15th they will perform at the Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest. Tickets will be released April 25th. Kiss Army members can get hold of tickets already tomorrow (April 22nd).

Paul And Gene On Nickelodeon's The Fairly Oddparents

Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons have lent their voices to three episodes of the animated Nickelodeon show The Fairly Oddparents. The episodes will be shown May 1st, 8th and 15th. Gene Simmons is also depicted on the cover of the latest issue of the Nickelodeon magazine "Nick".

The Swedish branch of Ebay (called Tradera) has got an auction up for the Brazilian promo single of ”Nothin’ To Lose”. Kissfaq calls this single ”incredibly rare”. The price now (April 17th) is SEK 600 which is about USD 75 and that’s a bargain! Check this link (in English):

Kiss In Sao Paulo

Another unauthorised Kiss interview DVD soon will be released. The title is "Over The Top". The release date is June 16th but it can already be pre-ordered here:

Confusion Regarding Today's Kiss Releases

Today (April 7th) was said to be the release date of the new Kiss compilation "Best Of Superstar Series" and the interview DVD box "Kiss In A Box". However, at Amazon and other vendors the CD and the DVD box set are marked as "out of stock". There seems to be some problem with both these releases.

Kiss In Swedish TV Drama

Yesterday (April 6th) the second episode of the Swedish TV drama "Familjen Babajou" (meaning "The Babajou Family") was shown on national Swedish TV. As mentioned here before, Kiss play a big part in this family's life. No Kiss references was mentioned in the premiere episode last week but it was a lot of Kiss in this episode! You should especially look at the 2 minute mark where the main character for the first time listens to "Dynasty" and at the 21 minute mark where the family do their own Kiss show.

Peter Criss Will Charge $40 For Autographs

As mentioned here before, Peter Criss will be one of the guests at this year's Chiller Theatre Toy, Model And Film Expo (April 17th-19th in Parsippany, New Jersey). Peter mentions on his website that the fee for autographs will "start at $ 40". Photos can only be shot by their photographer and the fee is $ 10. Read more at www.petercriss.net.
Ace Frehley was one of the guests last year, and there was a charge for autographs then as well.

Yesterday (April 2nd) the grand opening of the new Hard Rock Café at Yankee Stadium in New York took place. As reported before, Ace Frehley performed "New York Groove" during the opening together with Anton Fig and Scott Ian and Frank Bello of Anthrax. Footage from the event can be seen here:

Kiss Has Arrived In South America

Kissonline has published an update from Tommy Thayer where he lets us know that the band arrived safely in Santiago, Chile yesterday. Gene missed his connecting flight from LA so he arrived a couple of hours later.

Today (March 4th) is the day of the first show on this tour. I will get back with setlists and other details.
