Paul Stanley Interview In Classic Rock Magazine

Geoff Barton of the English Classic Rock Magazine has recently done an interview with Paul Stanley. Once again Paul mentions the new album. Quote: There might even be a new Kiss album at some point. I have been ambivalent to the idea in the past but I’m much more open to it now.

Paul Stanley Confirms That They Are Working On A New Kiss Album

As you could read here, Paul Stanley mentioned to photographer Ross Halfin that a new Kiss album soon will be recorded. Now Paul has mentioned this once again. In a radio interview with David Brody, Paul says that the album recording already has started! Listen to the interview here:

Great Poster Book Featuring Kiss

In the 1970s the Swedish magazine Poster was one of the best sources to find information and – obviously – posters of your favorite bands. A generation of Swedish rock and pop fans has grown up with this magazine. Kiss was one of the most featured bands and it’s definately safe to say that Poster was a huge part in Kiss’ success in Sweden. Now a really nice and interesting book regarding this magazine has been released. Although the text is in Swedish there is enough photos to make anyone satisfied. Two Kiss Games Makes It Into The Best Rock & Roll Games List

Rolling Stone Magazine has made a list of "The 50 Best Rock & Roll Video Games Of All Time". The Kiss pinball machine makes it into the list as well as the Kiss Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child game from the year 2000. The list is chronological and other featured games are Guitar Hero, the text game Rockstar etc.

Kissin' Time Acetate Available On Ebay

A 10 inch one-sided acetate from 1974 featuring Kissin' Time is now available on Ebay. As you know, Kissin' Time wasn't included in the first pressing of the debut album. This acetate is said to be the test pressing of this song for the second pressing. Check the auction out here:

Paul Stanley Mentions Possible New Kiss Album

English rock photographer Ross Halfin claims in his diary that Paul Stanley considers making a new Kiss album. Halfin writes the following:

Paul told me they may make a Kiss record, which he'll produce. A real 70s Kiss style record.

No European Kiss Tour Planned

There will not be any European Kiss tour during 2009, at least not during the spring. However, it seems like there will a North American tour starting in April or May.

Heaven's On Fire Performed On Swedish Idol TV Show

In the latest episode of the Swedish version of "American Idol" (simply called "Idol") none other than Desmond Child was the guest in the jury. The contestants performed songs written by Desmond Child, such as Alice Cooper's Poison and Bon Jovi's Living On A Prayer. But most interesting was when Alice Svensson did Heaven's On Fire. She did a great version of the song and Desmond Child seemed to be really impressed. Watch it here:

Tobias Sammet Of Edguy To Sing On the Upcoming Bruce Kulick CD

Bruce Kulick reveals on his website (www.kulick.net) that lead vocalist Tobias Sammet of German metal band Edguy has recorded vocals for one song during the recordings on the upcoming Bruce Kulick solo CD BK III. Tobias Sammet is a great vocalist so this will definately be interesting to hear. There is already a connection between Sammet and Kiss since Eric Singer played drums on Sammet's project Avantasia.

Tommy Thayer Donates Amp Sales Royalties To Children's Hospital

Kiss On Fire's Posting Copied On Kissonline

Yesterday I made a posting regarding the Norwegian TV documentary that will be shown today. The official Kiss website Kissonline has now copied my posting word for word and published it on http://www.kissonline.com/. They have changed the word ”teaser” to ”preview” but besides that it’s copied exactly, including my translation from Norwegian into English. Even my final comment ”I will get back with more details asap” is published on Kissonline! Nice and flattering that they are reading Kiss On Fire.

New Kiss Documentary On Norwegian TV

NRK has made the following presentation of the documentary:
On Wednesday Lydverket will show a documentary about Kiss where current and former band members as well as other associates tell the unmasked story about the madness we know as Kiss. To record a TV film in 1978 was just one of the things Kiss did to make money out of the Kiss brand and some 30 years later Paul Stanley has got a pragmatic view on this "acting" career. - What doesn't kill makes you stronger, Stanley says to Lydverket about his experiences from the cult film "Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park".
