Today it's 27 years since Kiss performed for the first time without their make-up. October 11th 1983 Kiss played in Lisbon, Portugal and this was the opening night of the Lick It Up tour. At this show Gene was spitting blood during "God Of Thunder". This is the only time he has done that without make-up. It was clear that this routine didn't work unmasked.

umBack when Paul could still hit those vocal high notes. His voice was never the same after he did that opera thing.
I don't think it was the opera thing that ruined his voice. He is simply too old now. He's still an amazing entertainer but clearly the voice isn't what it used to be.
