Gene Says Monster Is One Of The Top Three Albums

Gene Simmons has been interviewed by Billboard Magazine. He there mentions that he will be one of the celebrities at the upcoming Rock'N'Roll Fantasy Camp in Las Vegas in October. He is also quoted saying the following:

"Monster is either the best or one of the top three records we've ever done. It's like 'Revenge' meets 'Destroyer' -- just guitar and drums, nothing else. No keyboards, no little boys' choir, no strings, no nothing. Band-written; literally we'd get in and strum guitars like the old days."

Update About Monster

Paul Stanley is quoted by Kissonline saying the following about the recording of "Monster":

"Friday we officially completed work on the new album. Listening to the tracks back to back is like sensory overload. Everyone who has heard any of it is completely blown away. Powerful, heavy, melodic and epic.It makes us very proud. You all will be too. Mixing starts next week."

Kiss Back In The Studio

After a break, Kiss are now back in the studio recording the upcoming album which will be called "Monster". Gene Simmons posted this tweet a while ago:

Just spoke at Mobile Marketing Assoc. Then Fox meeting. Now off to record with KISS.

And Tommy Thayer tweeted this:

Back in the studio today to cut more KISS tracks. Cool stuff.

Both Tommy And Eric To Sing Lead On Monster

In a new interview with Kiss Army Chile, Eric Singer reveals that both himself and Tommy Thayer will sing lead vocals on the upcoming Kiss album "Monster". Eric is quoted saying the following:

"Both me and Tommy sing lead. We had already recorded 12 songs but I don't how many songs will be on the album, can be 12, 11 or 10 I do not know yet because we will choose once we will finish all the songs. We will decide which will be on the album and how many, so 10 or 12 songs I do not know yet. But we recorded 12 songs."

New Kiss Album Called Monster

It is now confirmed that the upcoming Kiss album will be called "Monster". Paul Stanley is quoted saying the following:

"We were all blown away by the unanimous raves from critics and fans for Sonic Boom. Anyone who thought that album was a lucky fluke is in for a brutal surprise. This album kills."

The album will be released next year.

Eight Tracks Recorded For Next Album


In a new interview with Classic Rock Magazine, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons mention that eight out of total ten songs are recorded for the next Kiss album. Only vocals are still to be recorded. They also mention some song titles - "Hell Or Hallelujah", "Born To Be A Sinner", "Out Of This World", "Are You Ready?" and "Wall Of Sound".

All Songs To New Kiss Album Written

The Toronto Sun yesterday published an interview with Gene Simmons. He speaks about his success story but also about the upcoming Kiss album. Gene is quoted saying the following:

We have all the songs arranged and written and all that. Like Sonic Boom, all the songs were written by the band. Paul is producing this one too. The first day in the studio, we cut two songs. So we're steaming ahead, not thinking too much about it.
