Once again Kissonline has quoted one of my posts. This was yesterday's post about "Love It Loud" on Swedish TV. This time they mentioned where they got it from so I'm happy.

Love It Loud On Swedish TV

The Swedish hit TV show "Körslaget" (known in some countries as "Clash Of The Choirs") yesterday featured the Kiss song "Love It Loud". This was performed by the choir led by Mustasch vocalist Ralf Gyllenhammar. Mustasch will support Kiss at the shows this summer in Stockholm and Malmö. Watch the clip here:

Yesterday (March 24th) Peter Criss attended the hockey game between New York Rangers and New York Islanders at Madison Square Gardens. Peter is reported to have spent time in the Ranges locker room before the match.

Paul Stanley Writes Songs For Erik Grönwall

Erik Grönwall won the 2009 edition of the Swedish "Idol" TV show (the Swedish version of "American Idol") where he sang a cover version of "Shout It Out Loud". Erik's album "Somewhere Between A Rock And A Hard Place" will be released June 2nd and Kiss On Fire can now exclusively reveal that Paul Stanley has written one of the songs on this album. Other songwriters include Joey Tempest (of the band Europe) and Andreas Carlsson (who wrote songs for Paul Stanley's solo album).

There have rumors for some time regarding an Australian branch of the Kiss Coffeehouse to open. Now The Sydney Morning Herald reveals that the coffeehouse will open December 31st. Yesterday (March 21st) the first episode of the fifth season of Gene Simmons Family Jewels was shows on A&E. This was a one hour episode and a lot of Kiss footage was shown; from the private jet, backstage footage as well as live performances.

Paul Stanley And Tommy Thayer Do Rare Acoustic Performance

The day before yesterday (March 20th) Paul Stanley did an appearance to promote his paintings at the Wentworth Gallery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Two New Kiss Shows Announced

As mentioned here before, Kiss will perform at the Cheyenne Frontier Days July 23rd in Wyoming. This show is now made official. They will also perform the following day at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot, ND.

Back From The Kiss Show At Islington Academy!

I have now returned from London and I am extremely happy to have experienced such a unique and amazing show! When I entered the venue I couldn't believe how small and intimate the O2 Islington Academy is. According to a security officer outside, a total of 750 persons were let in. The original capacity is 800 but they had to extend the stage a bit and because of this they had to lower the capacity with 50 persons. After the new official last song before show start - Led Zeppelin's "Rock And Roll" - Paul, Gene, Eric and Tommy entered the small stage. I had wondered if they were to start the intro with "Allright London" or "Allright Islington" but it was no intro at all. After some short words from Paul they started the sthow with "Modern Day Delilah" and it was just amazing! I couldn't believe that I was witnessing Kiss at a small club. The atmosphere was incredible. The show consisted of the following songs:

The show was about 75 minutes so it was a bit short. But nevertheless it was an amazing show. According to set lists, they were supposed to also play Shout It Out Loud, Lick It Up and Deuce. After Rock & Roll All Nite Gene and Paul spoke and they clearly discussed how many more songs to play. Kissonline has posted an official statement that the confetti canons that was used during Rock & Roll All Nite made the air impossible to breathe and because of this they cut these three songs out. I was a bit suprised that they didn't return to the stage to at least thank the audience, throw guitar picks etc but that's no big deal.

All in all just an amazing experience!

Going To London!

Tomorrow (Tuesday) I will travel to London for the Kiss show at Islington Academy! This means that Kiss On Fire won’t be updated Tuesday and Wednesday but I will be back on Thursday with a report from the London show.
