Gene Simmons Offers His View On The Upcoming Election

Gene Simmons has published the following on his webpabe (http://www.genesimmons.com/):

Ok, folks. Everyone is so touchy about the forthcoming election. And for the record, I don't believe any celebrity should be using their bully pulpit to coerce their fans to vote either way. Remember, Al Queda doesn't care if you're a Democrat or Republican. They hate you all. And, I refuse to tell anyone what my political leanings are. I agree with both parties on certain issues ad strongly disagree with both candidates on other issues. What's needed here, is a bit of humor. So, in that light, I offer the following video sent to me. DO NOT take it to mean vote for either candidate. It DOES mean, VOTE FOR EITHER CANDIDATE, but vote.

As previously mentioned, Kiss is supporting the Rock Your Vote campaign.

Cheesy Swedish Dance Band Covers I Was Made For Loving You On National TV

Do you remember that I earlier this year mentioned that the cheesy Swedish arena show "Rhapsody In Rock" did a medley of Kiss songs (http://www.kissonfire.net/2008/07/kiss-songs-featured-in-swedish.html)?

And a bit later I mentioned that a Swedish TV host wore Paul Stanley make-up (http://www.kissonfire.net/2008/08/swedish-tv-host-made-up-as-paul-stanley.html).

Well. the cheesy Kiss stuff keeps happening in Sweden. Last Saturday Swedish national TV showed the premiere episode of "Dansbandskampen" which is a contest featuring Swedish dance bands. One of the bands is Bengt Hennings who did a cover of I Was Made For Loving You. This is the link to the performance: http://svt.se/svt/road/Classic/shared/mediacenter/index.jsp?&d=97256&a=1284614

Don't say I didn't warn you!

One Live Kiss And Kiss Ikons Now Released

Yesterday (October 21st) was the release date of two very interesting Kiss products.
We have the DVD from Paul Stanley's solo tour which really is good. Great songs, amazing musicians and some really cool filming. To hear the Kiss songs played this way is a great thing. And it's also nice that songs like Magic Touch and A Million To One still work so good.

Besides this DVD yesterday was also the release date of the four CD set Kiss Ikons. What differs this from the thousand other Kiss compilations released is that each CD represents each original member. A nice idea. There are obvioulsy more songs to chose from on Paul's and Gene's CDs but that doesn't stop Ace's and Peter's CDs to hold a high class.
